Ancient Spiral Paddle Earrings in Sterling Silver and 23k Gold accents

These paddle-shaped earrings are inspired by ancient spiral patterns found across Celtic sites and artifacts. The spiral motif is deeply embossed into sterling silver, then darkened with a natural patina to bring depth and contrast to the design.

Accents of 23k gold are applied using the traditional keum-boo technique, creating a warm counterpoint to the darkened silver surface. Lightweight and comfortable to wear, the elongated paddle shape allows for gentle, natural movement. Each pair is handcrafted in my Pacific Northwest studio.

• If a deep clean is needed - Clean with a soft toothbrush and warm water with a drop of mild dish soap. Rinse and dry with a soft cloth.
• Store separately from other items to avoid scratches.
• Avoid swimming or hot tubs - chlorine and other chemicals can cause severe damage to your jewelry.
• Keep jewelry away from moisture (do not store in the bathroom).
• Avoid contact with cosmetics, perfumes, bleach, and cleaning products.
• Avoid polishing the darkened areas.
• Use a polishing pad to carefully remove tarnish only from the areas you want to brighten. The pad gives more control than a cloth.
Never use chemical or abrasive cleaners, as they can remove the patina and abrade the gold accents.
